Not bad.

So, preliminary results are in and it looks like we got gold again! It looks like we're a little more than 100 kills short of our previous performance, which put us at 218 out of 8815 clans competing, so let's step up our game for the next one! It also seems like we've gotten our XP award already, so that's pretty cool. More discussion after the jump.


One issue we noticed in particular is that with only 75 possible kills per game, players running assault killstreaks will commonly start to cannibalize each others' kills and airspace. This is particularly an issue for our clan ranking since we have several players who are good enough to get a lot of kills with and without killstreaks who also don't get counted for clan ops scores since they don't have Elite premium. In our previous ops, all of the top 6 scorers had premium accounts, so no one noticed, but a few dozen more kills counted might have meant the difference between what we got and the top 200. It's not entirely clear to me what we should do about it, since we're definitely not about to tell people not to participate. Maybe next time we should try to run a few separate lobbies and separate top premium scorers from top non-premium scorers? If you guys have any suggestions, let everypony know.

I'd also like to throw a shoutout to our top six scorers! We had 18 participants this time, compared to 7 for the last TDM op, so the competition was tougher both against other players and for ranking within the clan! Great job, everypony!
